Medicare Part B and Medicare Advantage plan participants are covered by this initiative. Medicare Advantage plan participants will be covered outside of their existing plan’s coverage, and in addition to any over-the-counter tests that may be covered under the plan as a supplemental benefit.

Medicare won’t cover over-the-counter COVID-19 tests for those who only have Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) coverage.

This initiative started April 4, 2022, and will continue until the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) ends (date to be determined by Medicare).

We and no other party will ask for any cash, check, or credit card information as shipping and rapid tests are at no cost to recipients. Once the request is submitted your orders will automatically will ship each month until this initiative expires (date to be determined by Medicare).

No, as long as you are enrolled in a qualifying Medicare plan you will have no costs associated with this initiative.

We will check your eligibility and, if qualified, begin sending your tests. There are no costs for the tests, and no cost for shipping.

The initiative covers eight (8) over the counter COVID-19 tests in any one calendar month.

Rapid antigen at home covid tests obtained prior to the April 4, 2002 start date will not be covered or reimbursed.

If you’ve obtained the maximum of eight of these at-home covid tests in the current calendar month, you will need to wait until the beginning of the next calendar month to get more tests in order for Medicare to cover the costs.
